Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra keen to make film on Swachh Bharat

After not getting much success with his last film ‘Mirzya’ (2016), Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is said to be keen to make a film based on Narendra Mod’s Swachh Bharat campaign to clean up India.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the filmmaker is making ‘Mere Pyare Pradhan Mantri’ with Swachh Bharat backdrop.

Talking to the publication, Mehra said, “It’s about an eight-year-old boy, Kanhaiya, who wants to make a toilet for his mother.”

Incidentally, Akshay Kumar is also currently in the midst of shoot for his film ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ based on the same theme.
