Raj&Pablo talk to John Abraham on BBC Asian Network

John Abraham’s debut production, ‘Vicky Donor’, releases today (20th April). The actor�� was last seen in ‘Housefull 2’ which hit the cinemas just a few weeks ago. It seems April is indeed a busy month for the heart-throb. BBC Asian Network’s Raj&Pablo caught up with Abraham to talk about his foray into film production.

When asked about the introduction of Ayushmann Khurrana and his own experiences as producer, the actor reveals, “With newcomers its always difficult to sell a film or to say to people this film is great but its got newcomers��_ but I believe that I wouldn�۪t have done as good a job in this film as this boy has��_ the toughest part of being a producer is to sell a concept”.

Pablo quizzed Abraham about whether it’s easy to get sperm donated in India. Abraham answers, “Its not actually that difficult, the film�۪s going to give a great message out, its gonna talk about donors, sperm donation, fertility clinics, surrogacies��_it will address many issues but in an entertaining manner”. Abraham also divulged that the movie is about a man who makes money by donating sperm.

The 39-year-old talked about why he chose to turn producer at this time as asked by Raj. He confesses, “I think its natural progression, its something I wanted to do. There�۪s noone that kind of supports the cinema I do like Kabul Express,��Water, No Smoking��_ and I decided that if I started to make films, I�۪d make sure I�۪d give it a platform”.
