Rajkummar Rao to stay on to play lead role in ‘Stree 2’?

Earlier this week, rumours were rife that Varun Dhawan was to replace Rajkummar Rao in the sequel of horror-comedy ‘Stree’ (2018). However, it seems the speculation was a little far-fetched.

According to Mid-Day, Rao will continue playing the leading role in ‘Stree 2’. A source told the publication, “Stree was such a huge success that it’s only natural that there will be ample talk of a sequel. There is no clarity at the moment when it’s going to happen but whenever it does, it will star Rajkummar Rao. Director Amar Kaushik too clarified that several times in the past”.

Rao has also recently been confirmed for ‘Rooh- Afza’, another horror-comedy along with Janhvi Kapoor.
