News recently has confirmed that Salman Khan would be starring in Rajkumar Santoshi’s next. However, it seems that now Santoshi has been asked to leave the project.
Reportedly, the film is based on ‘Ode to my Father’ – a South Korean film which released in 2014. It was Atul Agnihotri who spoke to Khan about the film after acquiring the official remake rights and Khan had suggested Santoshi to direct. Santoshi was then asked to finish the script during a certain time, possibly before he began shooting for Kabir Khan’s ‘Tubelight’.
Khan was thought to be unimpressed with the delay and has, according to Box Office India, asked that Santoshi leaves the project and makes way for a new director.
