BBC Asian Network ‘Love Bollywood’ presenters Raj and Pablo have been confirmed to host a Christmas special show on BBC Radio 2.

The programme will be used as a window to promote Bollywood to a more predominantly non-Asian audience.

The largest film factory in the world, Bollywood films supersede even Hollywood movies in viewership. And the involvement of internationally renowned artists attests to its global appeal. Kylie appeared in a 2009 film; Lady Gaga has worked with Salim and Sulamain, two of Bollywood’s most popular composers, whilst artist and songwriter Akon features on the soundtrack of a film released in September.

Raj and Pablo said, “We are delighted to be spreading the magic of Bollywood across the nation during the Yuletide Season – and sharing some Bollytastic Sparkle during the festive season.”

The Bollywood special will air on Friday 23rd December between 10:00 and midday on BBC Radio 2.
