Raghav Bahl & Rajdeep Sardesai to quit Network18?

With the acquisition of Network18 by Reliance Industries Limited, the changes will not only be evident behind the scenes but also on-air after reports emerged that popular news anchors Rajdeep Sardesai (CNN-IBN) and Sagarika Ghose (CNN-IBN) are expected to leave next month.

Not only them, Managing Director of News18 India, Raghav Bahl will be moving on from Network18, according to Scroll India. The publication adds that Bahl will be resigning today as he has no immediate investment or entrepreneurial plans in the media. He follows in the footsteps of other top executives at Network18 leaving including Sai Kumar, Ajay Chacko and RDS Bawa.

Meanwhile, Sardesai is said to be taking a break from his broadcast journalism to write a book. Ghose was considering offers from other channels.

Earlier today Reliance Industries Limited board approved funding of up to Rs. 4,000 crore to Independent Media Trust (IMT) for acquisition of control in Network18 Media & Investment Ltd, including subsidiary TV18 Broadcast.
