Radio legend Ameen Sayani passes away, aged 91

Legendary radio broadcaster, Ameen Sayani, has passed away, aged 91.

Sayani was known for his popular show ‘Binaca Geet Mala’. He suffered a heart attack on Tuesday.

The news was confirmed by Sayani’s son, Rajil Sayani. He said, “The doctors at the hospital attended him but couldn’t save him and he was declared dead.”

Sayani started his radio career with Radio Ceylon in 1951.
