Quiet birthday celebrations for Karan Johar as he turns 41

Last year, the filmmaker turned the big 40 and he celebrated in style. This year, Karan Johar has decided to bring his birthday in quietly.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Johar stated, “Unlike last year, there is no big bash. The entire focus right now is on completing and meeting the last minute deadlines of (my production)Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. So this year, let me eat gracefully at home (laughs). In fact, I am going to watch the first cut of YJHD on my birthday. So that�۪s my special gift. Otherwise, it�۪s time to relax.”

Talking about birthdays with extravagance, Johar expresses his love for celebration, “I never shy away from the fact that I love birthdays ��� mine and others too. And yes, I love celebrating birthdays because they�۪re special for everyone ��� after all, it�۪s the day when you were born.”
