Punjabi World TV begins EPG testing on Sky

Asian infotainment channel Punjabi World TV has commenced EPG data testing ahead of its official Sky Digital launch next month.

As revealed exclusively first on BizAsia.co.uk, Punjabi World TV will be a homegrown British Asian channel for the Punjabi community. It is being headed by D S Bal, the owner of other TV properties like Red TV and Legal TV.

Ex-Ikonz magazine editor Reena Combo has been hired as Programme Controller to run the channel.

Punjabi World TV’s USP will be its interactivity. It is claiming that it will be the one only British Asian channel that will allow viewers to get involved in majority of its shows. A programme strand on the channel called Love Desi TV will also play an integral part in its schedule.

Punjabi World TV launches on Sky Digital as a free-to-air channel on Monday 10th March.

The channel’s website can be accessed by clicking here.
