Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu passes away in road accident

Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu has passed away in a road accident.

NDTV reports that Sidhu was involved in a collision on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway that bypasses Delhi. It is believed that Sidhu was travelling from Delhi to Bhatinda, Punjab, when a trailer rammed into his SUV at 21:30 (IST) today.

It is reported that he passed away before he reached the hospital.

Furthermore, Sidhu had been arrested by Delhi Police in February last year in connection to a farmers protest on Republic Day, which erupted into violence attacking policemen at the Red Fort. He received bail in April was later arrested again. He was then released on bail in late April.
