PTV Global switches schedule to rolling news

Free-to-air broadcaster PTV Global, which recently underwent a makeover with a string of new local shows, has had a sudden change of direction.

For the past few days, the channel has switched to sister station PTV News to replace its existing international feed of entertainment/current affairs shows.

Even though the branding of ‘PTV Global UK/Europe’ remains on the channel, the programmes are being relayed from Pakistan’s state broadcaster PTV News.

Even though BizAsia.co.uk has attempted to get in touch with PTV about the change, it had not heard back from the broadcaster at the time of filing this article.

Coincidently, the other UK Pakistani channel, Prime TV has reduced its news/current affairs show with more entertainment programming. A channel spokesperson confirmed that the channel is undergoing a revamp and will be releasing more information soon.
