Ranveer Singh’s ’83’ lands in legal trouble over “cheating”

Kabir Khan’s upcoming cricket drama ’83’ starring Ranveer Singh has landed in legal soup after a UAE based finance company filed a cheating complaint against the film’s makers.

Future Resource FZE has filed a complaint including IPC sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

The complaint made through advocate Rizwan Siddiquee accused the makers of making plans to cheat the complainant of its rights in the film.

’83’ releases at cinemas later this month.
