Producer Rajesh Bhatia open to digital release of ‘Bole Chudiyan’

After ‘Ghoomketu’ was confirmed to release directly on a digital platform, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s next ‘Bole Chudiyan’ is also expected to go the same way.

According to Mid-Day, co-producer of the film Rajesh Bhatia said he was “open” to the idea of ‘Bole Chudiyan’ skipping a theatrical release and go directly on an OTT platform.

Bhatia was cited saying, “Cinema is a great medium, but, it doesn’t seem like theatres will start functioning within the next six months. We are hence open to the idea of an OTT release. If the film beams to 200 countries, we think that’s a great deal for the right price.”

He added, “We are responsible to our investors. We must meet a timely release, and generate revenue. Cash flow needs to be generated and directed towards forthcoming productions.”

The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and is directed by Nawazuddin’s brother, Shamas Siddiqui. Anurag Kashyap also makes a cameo appearance in the film.
