Priyanka to join Ranveer & Deepika in ‘Padmavati’?

Keeping up with the tradition of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s last couple of films, rumours are rife that Priyanka Chopra is expected to join Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in ‘Padmavati’.

The three, who shared screen space in ‘Ram Leela’ (2013) and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015), are reportedly being reunited for Bhansali’s upcoming epic drama, which also stars Shahid Kapoor.

A source told Absolute India News, “Padmavati is already a star studded film with stars like Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer. However, Bhansali has a special role in the film for which he is planning to take one of Bollywood s leading lady.”

Adding to this, the source said, “Bhansali earlier approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the cameo but things didn’t materialise. Later, Bhansali approached Priyanka Chopra. The director is keen to recreate the magic of Bajirao Mastani by taking Priyanka in Padmavati. Although PeeCee will never say no to the director, she is yet to give her nod.”
