Priyanka-Parineeti set to clash at the box office

Of late, some box office clashes have been averted what with filmmakers seeking to give their films the best possible platform with their audiences. Recent reports suggest that one such clash will happen between siblings Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra with their respective films ‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’.

It seems makers of the forthcoming Telugu movie, ‘Yevadu’, starring Ram Charan Teja have delayed the release of the film and now word is that it will be releasing to close to ‘Zanjeer’ which sees the actor make his Bollywood debut. In a similar light, Yash Raj Productions’ ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ is being brought forward. This means that both films, as it stands, will be releasing alongside each other on 6th September.

A source told Times of India, “Though that by itself isn’t a threat since Zanjeer is a much bigger film than the Maneesh Sharma-directed movie, it cannot be ignored either. Some rethinking may be required here”.

Director of ‘Zanjeer’, Apoorva Lakhia, has confirmed that it will be released on 6th September.
