Priyanka to make production debut in B-town with SLB

After debuting as a producer with the successful Marathi movie ‘Ventilator’ (2016), Priyanka Chopra is reportedly gearing up to enter the Hindi film industry with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on poet Amrita Pritam.

According to reports, Chopra has let Bhansali know that she would like to co-produce his upcoming film on legendary poet Pritam. She is also rumoured to be playing the lead character in it, reports Deccan Chronicle.

Contrary to other reports, Shah Rukh Khan is not playing  the role of Pritam’s love interest and fellow poet Sahir Ludhianvi in the feature. In fact, the makers are considering Irrfan Khan, Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan for the part but no announcement has been made yet.

Chopra’s big Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’ (2017) may have flopped at the Box Office but she has already signed on to her next films in ‘A Kid Like Jake’ alongside Jim Parsons and Claire Danes, and New Line Cinema’s upcoming comedy titled ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ with Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Liam Hemsworth. Also, there is the third season of ‘Quantico’ for her fans to look forward to.
