Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Quantico’ faces lawsuit

Priyanka Chopra’s hit American TV show ‘Quantico’ is facing a lawsuit amid claims that the concept was lifted from a 1999 documentary that aired on CNN.

Deccan Chronicle reports that the 35-page lawsuit was filed against producer Mark Gordon at a Los Angeles Superior Court.

The report adds that filmmakers Jamie Hellman and Barbara Leibovitz Hellman and business executive Paula Paizes, signed a deal with the Mark Gordon Company and “provided MGC with the film from the Documentary, information which was not included in the documentary, including all of their notes and transcripts related to the film.”

The suit says that ‘Quauntico Project’ was initially discussed as a movie based on a conspiracy inside the FBI Academy.

Mark Gordon is yet to respond to the lawsuit.
