Priyanka Chopra working hard to send children to school

Priyanka Chopra may be travelling between continents, juggling between her Bollywood and Hollywood career, but she will always be by her ‘girls’ side’. There are still countless number of young��children who are still not able to get an education and Chopra is working hard to make sure these children are able to go to school.

Chopra who has her own non-profit foundation for children’s education, ‘The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education’, says an education means that you don’t have to depend on anyone and while she can’t eradicate poverty, she can certainly��help fulfill a child’s dream. Chopra told Glamour, “Education has always been very important to me. It means you don’t have to depend on anyone else. I used to love the story of Cinderella. My father always told me, ‘You should not want to fit into someone else’s glass slipper. You should shatter the glass ceiling’. He instilled confidence in me, and that doesn’t happen for so many kids. I can’t eradicate poverty, but at least for the people around me, I can help make sure no child is denied a dream.”

Chopra’s last Bollywood release ‘Jai Gangaajal’ (2016) failed to make an impression at the box office.
