Priyanka Chopra Jonas reflects on Hollywood journey: “I haven’t done as much here”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has reflected on the trajectory of her international career, acknowledging that she has not yet reached the same breadth of work in Hollywood that she enjoyed during her years in Hindi cinema.

Speaking during a session at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the actor discussed the contrast between her established position in India and the still‑developing nature of her portfolio in the United States.

Chopra Jonas noted that her career in Mumbai offered a wide range of opportunities across genres and collaborations. “I worked with some of the best filmmakers and actors in India, and I did every kind of role,” she said, adding that her body of work in Hindi cinema was built over many years of consistent output. In comparison, she explained that her time in Hollywood is still in its early stages. “I haven’t really done that as much here,” she said, referring to the variety and scale of projects she hopes to take on in the future.

She emphasised that her move to the United States required starting again in a new industry, building relationships from the ground up and navigating a different creative landscape. Despite this, she expressed optimism about the opportunities ahead and her intention to expand her range of roles in Hollywood.

Chopra Jonas’s comments offer a candid assessment of her cross‑industry career, highlighting both her achievements in India and her ambitions for the next phase of her work in global entertainment.
