Prime TV has released an official statement over the Pakistan Super League (PSL) UK/Europe rights.

It was announced on BizAsiaLive.com last week that rivals, A Plus Europe and UK 44 will be broadcasting the tournament from 9th February 2017. However, Prime TV, last year’s rights holder said it was still in contract with the party for another two years and was putting an injunction in place to prevent other broadcasters from showing the series.

In the statement, Prime TV said, “Prime TV Sky 792 states that under the signed agreement it holds exclusive three year airing rights for Pakistan Super League and the legal notice has been issued to TECH-FRONT international. Prime TV management has sent legal notices to Sky channels A plus and UK 44 that it shall put injunctions restraining them from televising PSL 2nd edition 2017 starting from 9th February.”

Last week, Evolution Media Network, the agency handling UK 44 and A Plus Europe, released video promos to announce its partnership with PSL 2017.
