‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, which releases on 12th November, has already been cut by the Censor Board as BizAsia recently reported. However, it’s emerged that director Sooraj Barjatya may well cut the film’s length even more.

News has it that Barjatya’s father Rajkumar has suggested to his son to make a few cuts as the film’s length currently stands at 2 hours and 50 minutes. Salman Khan’s father Salim has also said the film needs to be cut. A source spoke to Deccan Chronicle, “Rajji is the most democratic filmmaker in Mumbai. He shows his films to all his friends and relatives to seek their suggestions. This film too has been no exception. A lot of people have opined that the film is too long, so now it will be shortened by 15 minutes or so”.

Apparently, a football match sequence is what is facing the cut. “Rajji has persuaded Sooraj to edit that out. Also, there are too many songs in the film and a few of them may be pulled out too before its Diwali release,” adds the source.

‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ also stars Sonam Kapoor, Armaan Kohli, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher and Swara Bhaskar.
