Pooja Bhatt to feature her father in a web series

Filmaker Pooja Bhatt, daughter of famous Mahesh Bhatt has decided to make a biopic on his life which will be featured as a web series. Initially she was planning to do a feature film on him.

According to ��Hindustan Times,��Bhatt said, “I am actually doing a biopic on him as a mini series for the digital space. A life like that can�۪t be captured in a mere two hour capsule and needs to be told truthfully and completely”.

The proud daughter added, “If you think about it, my dad�۪s films ‘Arth’ (1982), ‘Janam’ (1985), ‘Daddy’ (1989), ‘Aashiqui’ (1990),’ Zakhm’ (1998)… these are all chapters of Mahesh Bhatt�۪s life. The biopic will make for compelling viewing.”

The 44-year-old, who made her directorial debut with ‘Paap’ (2004) feels that her father is kind of iconic figure whose experiences can be valuable for generations to come.

Emraan Hashmi is prime contender for the role in the biopic.
