Panjabi Hit Squad celebrate 20 years of “Hai Hai” with special edition 12” vinyl & exhibition
Renowned British music duo, Panjabi Hit Squad, are set to mark a significant milestone in their illustrious career with the release of a special 12″ vinyl celebrating 20 years since the debut of their iconic track, “Hai Hai” featuring Ms Scandalous.
The dynamic duo, made up of Rav and Dee, have been pivotal figures in the global music scene, seamlessly blending traditional Panjabi sounds with contemporary beats. “Hai Hai,” a ground-breaking track that propelled Panjabi Hit Squad to international recognition, has remained a timeless anthem over the years.
The limited edition 12″ vinyl release is a collector’s dream, encapsulating the essence of “Hai Hai” in analogue form. The vinyl includes a remastered version of the original track, ensuring that fans experience the magic of the song in its purest form while providing a fresh perspective on the classic that has captivated audiences. The song has also been mixed and re-mastered for Dolby Atmos & Spatial sound, delivering a new ground-breaking audio journey for fans worldwide.
The artwork was a special commissioned piece by world renowned artist Babbu The Painter. Using inspiration from some of her earlier collections, the boys wanted artwork that reflected the record in all the right ways. What Babbu delivered was nothing short of amazing. Tradition with forward thinking and attitude, everything the record is.

After Panjabi Hit Squad’s momentous DJ set at Boiler Room Southall, they teamed up with local based events and media company Rebels and Pilgrims to host a special event in Southall, West London.
The event featured talks with the squad and included special guests Raj Pander (Producer, Journalist and Writer, who has won Radio Academy’s Best New Presenter Award), world-renowned photographer Yushy (who has worked with Vice, Boiler Room, Nike plus many more) and music from Tommy Khosla & Nirmal Chohan.
To accompany the event there was also an exhibition, taking fans on a journey through the making of the iconic track, 90’s/00’s south Asian club culture, rare memorabilia, behind-the-scenes footage, and insights from the duo themselves.
