Overnights: ‘Uttaran’ bows out on Colors quietly

One of Indian television’s longest running fictions ‘Uttaran’ bowed out quietly on Colors last night after six years.

The final episode pulled in an average 48,500 viewers last night – peaking at 56,900 viewers. The show had remarkably well in the UK over the past few months. Earlier this week, ‘Uttaran’ delivered over 100,000 viewers as the show built up to its climax. ‘Bigg Boss Halla Bol’ at 21:00 was the top show on the channel with 84,300 viewers, while ‘Shastri Sisters’ at 20:30 recorded 27,600 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ was easily the most watched show on the channel with 133,500 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ with 124,700 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 103,600 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Parichay’ was back on top with 77,800 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Aashiqui’ with 63,300 viewers and ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha’ with 54,400 viewers.

On Life Ok, ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’ took lead with 57,200 viewers, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ with 54,200 viewers and ‘Laut Aao Trisha’ with 39,400 viewers.

On Hum TV Europe, Sasural Ke Rang Anokhay’ was top with 38,400 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Sadqay Tumharay’ at 20:00 with 28,300 viewers.
