Overnights: ‘Talvar’ strikes gold for Star Plus

Star Plus UK had a surprise winner on its hands last night with the television premiere of ‘Talvar’, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The offbeat movie based on a real-life incident attracted 138,300 viewers between 20:00 – 22:30 – peaking at 195,400 viewers. It was one of the biggest ratings for a Bollywood movie during primetime in a number of months. The film stars Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma.

Other highlights on Star Plus last night were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 128,000 viewers, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 127,100 viewers and ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 17:30 with 111,800 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ was watched by 43,200 viewers, which saw the entry of television heartthrob Vivia Dsena. This was followed by ‘Naagin’ at 19:00 with 29,700 viewers and ‘Swaragini’ at 20:30 with 19,800 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ led with 43,300 viewers, followed by ‘Mission Sapne’ at 20:30 with 16,400 viewers and ‘Madhubala’ at 19:30 with 13,700 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Abro’ at 20:00 delivered 63,800 viewers, followed by ‘Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitaara Hai’ at 21:00 with 55,300 viewers and ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’ at 19:30 with 42,000 viewers. ‘Tere Mere Beech’ at 22:00 registered 29,900 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Saari Bhool Hamari Thi’ at 21:00 registered 11,100 viewers, followed by ‘Numm’ at 20:00 with 6,700 viewers.

On &TV, movie ‘Baazigar’ at 12:00 pulled in 18,700 viewers, followed by ‘Agent Raghav’ at 21:00 with 14,100 viewers and ‘The Place To Eat’ at 19:30 with 13,800 viewers.

On Prime TV, Pakistan Super League at 15:30 was watched by 33,600 viewers – peaking at 62,400 viewers.
