Sony SAB TV’s blockbuster movie offerings on the channel are working a treat with viewers regularly being enticed to the light entertainment channel.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, the free TV premiere of ‘Talaash’ on Sony SAB TV yesterday at 17:00 pulled in 26,500 viewers. In the coming days, ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ‘Lamhe’ ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ and ‘We Are Family’ are also expected to rate well, which are being shown for the first time on the free-to-air channel.

Over on UMP Movies, the free telecast of ‘Heroine’ did well too with 25,600 viewers – peaking at 59,800 viewers, with the repeat straight after at 23:50 getting an additional 24,000 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Arjun’ at 20:00 got 56,100 viewers – peaking at 95,500 viewers, followed by ‘Junior MasterChef’ with 49,000 viewers and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ getting 45,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Bigg Boss 4’ (re-run) continued to do well for the channel with 51,700 viewers, followed by Pakistani drama ‘Maat’ with 47,900 viewers and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ (re-run) with 35,900 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Trendsetters’ at 17:00 was on top of the ratings with 21,600 viewers, followed by ‘Bollywood Life Weekend Special’ at 19:00 getting 17,100 viewers and ‘ZEE Multiplex’ in third with 11,700 viewers. ‘Grinds My Teeth’ at 17:30 pulled in 5,700 viewers.
