Overnights: Star Plus trumps out rivals with nearly 30% share

After rival channels screamed and shouted their dominant position in Sunday’s UK ratings, their happiness was short-lived as Star Plus came back stronger on Monday with a share of nearly 30%, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus came back all guns blazing on Monday with a share of 0.28%. Geo TV was next with 0.12%, followed by Hum TV’s 0.11%, Sony Entertainment Television with 0.05%, Colors with 0.02% and ZEE TV with just 0.01%.

‘Chandra Nandini’ topped the ratings with a viewership of 96,500 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 83,900 viewers, ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 82,300 viewers and ‘Chakravyuh’ at 18:00 with 59,100 viewers. ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ at 20:00 was watched by 54,700 viewers. Earlier in the day, re-run of ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ surprised with 53,600 viewers tuning in at 14:30, followed by ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’ at 13:30 with 38,200 viewers, ‘Meri Durga’ at 12:30 with 33,600 viewers and ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem’ at with 30,700 viewers. ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’ at 14:00 pulled in 28,400 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ repeat at 22:30 pulled in 12,900 viewers, followed by ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ at 21:00 with 10,900 viewers and ‘Shakti’ with 7,500 viewers at 20:00.

On Sony TV, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ ruled with 27,300 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 23:20 with 19,800 viewers and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:30 with 9,100 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Woh Apna Sa’ at 19:30 pulled in 3,300 viewers, followed by ‘Piyaa Albela’ at 20:00 with 2,000 viewers and ‘Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey’ at 22:00 with 1,800 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Main Teri Parchai Hoon’ at 22:30 delivered 17,000 viewers, followed by ‘Rangrasiya’ at 21:30 with 13,100 viewers and ‘Madhubala’ at 19:30 with 4,700 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ re-run at 22:30 raked in 11,800 viewers, followed by ‘Agnifera’ at 19:00 with 3,600 viewers and ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’ at 20:00 with 2,300 viewers.
