Overnights: Star Plus’ Sunday UK ratings increase

Market leader, Star Plus continued to jump in UK ratings on Sunday with a mixture of blockbuster shows and a movie premiere pushing the channel ahead, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The biggest show on the channel was ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ with 224,600 viewers – peaking at 272,300 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 139,100 viewers and ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 124,700 viewers. ‘Mera Naam Yousuf Hai’ at 22:00 did well with 64,200 viewers and ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ at 20:00 pulled in 55,300 viewers. Film premiere ‘Drishyam’ starring Ajay Devgn at 14:00 attracted 44,000 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ delivered 59,900 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ at 22:30 with 36,000 viewers and ‘The Anupam Kher Show’ at 20:00 with 44,100 viewers. New show ‘Naagin’ at 19:00 premiered with 18,400 viewers. Event ‘Suron Ke Rang’ at 15:30 raked in 9,000 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:00 drew in 59,000 viewers, followed by ‘Nail Polish’ at 19:30 with 20,600 viewers and ‘The Anupam Kher Show’ at 20:30 with 17,200 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Dastaan’ did very well with 80,100 viewers at 21:00. It was the slot leader despite opposition from Star Plus and Colors. ‘Kaisay Tum Se Kahoon’ at 20:00 pulled in 65,700 viewers and ‘Kitna Sataty Ho’ at 22:00 with 32,000 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Bollywood Families’ at 19:00 pulled in 6,600 viewers, followed by ‘Look Who’s Talking With Niranjan’ at 19:30 attracted 5,300 viewers and ‘Rasoi’ at 18:30 with 3,900 viewers. ‘The Film Show’ could only manage 1,000 viewers at 20:00.

On &TV, ‘Deal Or No Deal’ at 20:00 did well with 34,200 viewers, followed by movie ‘Taal’ at 15:30 with 25,700 viewers and ‘Tujhse Naraaz Nahi Zindagi’ at 19:00 with 21,600 viewers.

On SAB TV, ‘Indian Super League’ was top with 13,000 viewers at 13:20, followed by ‘Comedy Superstar’ at 20:00 with 12,000 viewers and ‘Tarak Mehta…’ at 18:30 with 11,300 viewers. Movie ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ at 10:00 registered 8,200 viewers and ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ at 21:00 with 1,400 viewers.
