Overnights: Sony SAB TV closes in on Star Plus on Sunday

Sony SAB TV came close to overtaking Star Plus in UK ratings on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus remained the UK’s most watched Asian channel with a share of 0.11% and Sony SAB TV with 0.10%. Star Plus generally has of late been experiencing a tough time at weekends recently despite a strong line-up of shows. Last night’s top rated show was ‘Dance+ 3’ at 20:00 with 54,000 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ (one hour) at 19:00 with 45,400 viewers. Other shows on the channel didn’t fare as well with ‘Aarambh’ continuing to disappoint with just 4,200 viewers at 21:00.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ fetched 17,500 viewers at 19:55, followed by ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ at 17:30 with 16,500 viewers and ‘Lamhe’ at 11:00 also doing well with 13,700 viewers.

Rishtey came in third with ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 8’ at 21:00 pulling in 46,800 viewers. The channel had a share of 0.10%.
