The first ever episode of new drama ‘Meri Bhabhi’ has proved successful after coming second in the UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The engagement part in ‘SaraswatiChandra’ kept the drama at the top with 187,500 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with a promising start, attracting 182,300 viewers. In third place was ‘Saathiya’ with 162,900 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (150,700), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (142,600), ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (138,100), ‘Veera’ (110,000), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (109,900) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (61,600).

On Rishtey, ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ was top with 59,800 viewers, followed by ‘Bairi Piya’ with 52,100 viewers and ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ (46,600). The first episode of ‘Bigg Boss 4’ (re-run) got 14,200 viewers at 21:30.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ got 31,200 viewers, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ got 25,300 viewers and ‘Amrit Manthan’ next with 19,500 viewers.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ was most watched show on the channel with 49,700 viewers, followed by ‘BaalVeer’ with 38,000 viewers and ‘Chidiyaghar’ next with 29,500 viewers.
