'MasterChef India' continues to lead in UK ratings

The cookery reality TV show ‘MasterChef India’ has proved a runaway success in the UK ratings after grabbing the most viewers last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘MasterChef India’ got 262,300 viewers – peaking at a huge 298,400 viewers. In second place was ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with another good performance – it attracted 202,100 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ with 200,000.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (173,900), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (146,800), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (142,000), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (136,400), ‘Veera’ (112,300) and ‘Ek Ghar Banuanga’ (72,200).

On Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ was the leader with 51,200 viewers, followed by ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ with 31,900 viewers and ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ next with 29,900 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ pulled in 32,500 viewers, followed by ‘Amrit Manthan’ with 27,600 viewers and ‘2613’ got 16,300 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9’ got a zero rating at 18:30 but pulled in 1,300 viewers at 22:30.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was the biggest ratings puller with 93,700 viewers, followed by ‘Chidiyaghar’ in second with 81,200 viewers and ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ next with 60,500 viewers.

On ITV4, the latest Indian Premier League game at 15:00 pulled in 275,800 viewers – peaking at 486,100 viewers.
