Overnights: ‘Mardaani 2’ puts Star Gold at No.1 on Friday in UK

The channel premiere of ‘Mardaani 2’ on Star Gold put it at No.1 in UK ratings on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The Rani Mukerji action flick, produced by Yash Raj Films, was watched by a huge 47,900 viewers at 21:00 – making it one of the biggest Bollywood hits on UK Asian TV during the lockdown. The film peaked at 68,600 viewers. ‘Judwaa 2’ earlier in the evening at 18:00 was watched by 28,400 viewers.

Star Gold was at No.1 in UK ratings with a share of 0.12%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 0.11%, Star Plus, ZEE TV, Sony MAX and Colors Cineplex with 0.07%, New Vision TV with 0.06%, Hum TV, Sony SAB TV and Sony MAX 2 with 0.04%, Geo TV and Colors Rishtey with 0.03%, Star Bharat, Colors, Geo News, Dunya News, NDTV 24×7 and ZEE Cinema with 0.02%.

On Sony TV, ‘Crime Patrol’ at 23:30 led with 33,700 viewers, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 16:30 with 30,500 viewers, ‘Crime Patrol’ at 15:30 with 29,000 viewers and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 00:30 with 22,900 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Mahabharat’ was watched by 28,600 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 14:30 with 28,100 viewers, ‘Maharaj Ki Jai Ho’ at 20:00 with 21,900 viewers, ‘Radhakrishn’ at 19:00 with 21,400 viewers and ‘Radhakrishn’ at 19:30 with 20,500 viewers. ‘Hostages’ dropped to 6,700 viewers and repeat of film ‘War’ at 23:00 fetched 4,400 viewers.

ZEE TV dominated primetime viewership amongst entertainment channels on Friday with ‘Kehna Ko Humsafar Hai’ at 21:00 with 35,600 viewers, followed by ‘Baarish’ at 20:30 with 31,100 viewers and ‘Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat’ at 19:30 with 29,300 viewers. Earlier in the evening, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ movie at 16:45 pulled in 13,000 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Kun Faya Kun’ led with 34,600 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Mehboob Apke Qadmon Mein’ at 21:00 with 16,200 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Meher Posh’ at 20:00 raked in 16,400 viewers, followed by ‘Deewangi’ repeat at 17:00 with 14,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Shubarambh’ topped ratings with 11,800 viewers at 20:30 and ‘Shaitaan’ at 21:30 with 7,600 viewers.

On Colors Rishtey, ‘Dharam Thi Gujarati’ at 16:00 led with 16,000 viewers, followed by ‘Rasoi Show’ at 16:30 with 12,200 viewers and ‘Chhuta Chedha’ at 17:30 with 12,100 viewers.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Crime Patrol’ led with 28,600 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ at 20:30 with 11,300 viewers.

On Colors Cineplex, movie ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ at 18:00 was watched by 25,000 viewers.
