Overnights: Komolika’s entry boosts ‘Kasautii’ on Monday in UK

The entry of iconic character Komolika in Star Plus’ hit show ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ proved a ratings winner on Monday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The show story’s is expected to move up a notch with the arrival of Komolika, played by Hina Khan. She is set to stir trouble between the leads, Anurag and Prerna, played by Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes.

‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ climbed up to third place with an audience of 88,200 viewers at 21:00, just behind ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’, which took the No.1 slot with 90,900 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 88,700 viewers. Generally, it was a good night overall for Star Plus. Other shows in the pecking order were ‘Mariam Khan’ at 19:00 with 84,600 viewers, ‘Ishqbaaaz’ at 20:00 with 69,700 viewers, ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 18:00 with 58,100 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 54,400 viewers, ‘Karn Sangini’ at 21:30 with 37,200 viewers and ‘Nazar’ at 22:00 with 24,400 viewers. Earlier in the day, ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ attracted 37,200 viewers.

Overall, Star Plus held on to the No.1 position in UK ratings with a share of 0.22%, nearly three times that of closest rival, Sony TV, which garnered 0.08%.
