Star Plus’ show ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ has toppled ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ by becoming the most watched Hindi drama on UK television.
According to exclusive overnight data supplied to BizAsia from audience data system Attentional, the drama, which sits in the weekday 20:00 – 20:30 slot pulled in an average audience of 195,500 on Tuesday 23rd October. It peaked at an impressive 247,400.
‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, which is aired at 22:00 – was the second most watched Hindi drama serial in the UK with reach of 178,300 – peaking at 208,900.
The wedding episodes of ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behnaa Hai’ have proved a success with viewers – an audience of 176,400 tuned in on Tuesday night. It peaked at 217,500.
The soon to go off-air drama ‘Pratigya’ at 22:30 was lagging behind with 89,600. Another drama not doing so well in the UK is ‘Ruk Jaana Nahi’, however, still a decent enough audience for an early primetime slot. The drama averaged at 35,000 – peaking at 49,500 on Tuesday night.
