Overnights: ‘Indian Idol 10’ final smashes Sony TV ratings record

The grand finale of ‘Indian Idol 10’ smashed UK ratings for Sony Entertainment Television on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The three-hour spectacular, which was won by Salman Ali, was watched by a record 80,000 viewers – making it the most watched show ever for Sony TV UK. The show peaked further to 112,500 viewers.

Sony TV’s share shot up to a record 0.20%, leaving market leader, Star Plus behind in second with 0.05%, followed by B4U Movies and ZEE Cinema with a share of 0.04%. Hum TV, Colors, New Vision TV, Dunya News and PTC Punjabi fetched a share of 0.03%. Star Gold and ZEE TV were next with a share of 0.02%.
