Overnights: Hum TV & Hum Masala lead Pakistani genre in UK

Hum TV Network was the strongest Pakistani brand on UK Asian television on Tuesday, with both Hum TV and the newly launched, Hum Masala taking the No.2 and No.3 slots respectively.

While Star Plus remained the UK’s firm favourite with a share of 0.27%, Hum TV took the No.2 position with 0.20% and Hum Masala taking up third place for the first time with 0.10%. Surprisingly, specialist cookery channel, Hum Masala beat big Asian TV channels including ZEE TV, Colors, Geo TV and Sony Entertainment Television. The most watched show was fiction ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ at 20:00 with 29,300 viewers, followed by ‘Evening With Shireen’ at 17:00 with 22,700 viewers, ‘Mehboob’s Kitchen’ at 18:30 with 17,500 viewers and ‘Handi’ at 22:00 with 17,300 viewers.
