Overnights: Hum Masala inches closer to Star Plus at No.1

Hum Masala was once again the surprise package in UK ratings on Wednesday with its closest battle yet with market leader, Star Plus, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Hum Masala delivered a share of 0.17%, compared to Star Plus’ share of 0.21%. Hum Masala jumped leaps and bounds yesterday with fiction ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ at 20:00 attracting 34,700 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Tarka’ at 22:00 with 32,100 viewers and ‘Handi’ at 21:00 with 31,300 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 pulled in 101,100 viewers, followed by ‘Naamkarann’ with 79,900 viewers, ‘Chandra Nandini’ at 20:30 with 68,600 viewers and ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 68,300 viewers. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ raked in 67,000 viewers, ‘Chakravyuh’ at 18:00 with 59,700 viewers and ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ at 20:00 with 45,100 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi’ topped ratings with 74,300 viewers and ‘Yaqeen Ka Safar’ at 20:00 did well with 71,000 viewers.

On Prime TV, the ongoing Independence Cup 2017 attracted 8,800 viewers at 14:30, with a further 4,900 viewers tuning for the repeat at 21:05.

On Colors, ‘Udann’ fetched 21,500 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ at 22:30 with 16,900 viewers and ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ at 21:00 with 14,300 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ at 21:00 delivered 20,100 viewers, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:30 with 9,100 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘India’s Best Judwah’ repeat at 13:00 pulled in 12,300 viewers, followed by 10,800 viewers for ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek’ repeat at 12:30 and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ repeat at 14:00 and ‘Piyaa Albela’ repeat at 14:30 with 10,500 viewers each.

On &TV, ‘Agnifera’ was watched by 27,800 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Kabhi Socha Na Tha’ at 22:00 pulled in 7,900 viewers, followed by ‘Sawera’ at 23:00 with 6,800 viewers and ‘Nadaniyan’ at 23:30 with 2,500 viewers.
