Overnights: Hot weather dents Asian TV channels on Sunday in UK

Record August Bank Holiday temperatures sent viewing figures for Asian TV channels plummeting on Sunday in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Star Plus won the ratings battle with a share of 0.10%, followed by Sony Entertainment Television and Sony MAX 2 with 0.09%, Hum TV and PTC Punjabi with 0.06%, New Vision TV and ZEE Cinema with 0.04% and Star Gold and Colors with 0.03%, Geo TV with 0.02% and ZEE TV with 0.01%.

Star Plus’ biggest attractions were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein – Maha Episode’ at 19:00 with 29,300 viewers, followed by ‘Nach Baliye 9’ at 20:00 with 27,400 viewers, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ re-run at 14:30 with 25,400 viewers. ‘Divya Drishti’ at 23:00 pulled in 6,300 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 delivered 23,700 viewers, followed by ‘Superstar Singer’ at 20:00 with 20,100 viewers and repeat of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 23:00 with 12,300 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Shanakht’ led with 24,200 viewers, followed by ‘Anaa’ at 20:00 with 17,000 viewers and ‘Resham Gali Ka Husna’ at 19:00 with 9,700 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Kawach 2’ at 23:30 was watched by 13,000 viewers, followed by ‘BFFS With Rogue’ at 20:00 with 10,400 viewers and ‘Dance Deewane’ at 21:00 with 6,700 viewers.

On ZEE TV, movie ‘Baaghi’ led with 3,800 viewers.
