Overnights: Filmfare Awards smashes SAB TV UK record

Sony SAB TV is rejoicing today after delivering one of its biggest ever audiences for Filmfare Awards 2017, which were aired last night free-to-air on Sky.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, Filmfare Awards attracted a humongous 90,500 viewers at 20:00 – peaking at 133,000 viewers. Prior to this, Filmfare Awards have always premiered on flagship channel, Sony Entertainment Television but this time, the broadcaster decided to premiere the event on Sony SAB TV for a bigger audience. The Red Carpet event at 19:30 pulled in 35,000 viewers. Earlier on the channel, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan at 17:55 pulled in 21,200 viewers and ‘Chandni’ at 10:30 with 8,300 viewers. Overall, Sony SAB TV was second behind Star Plus in viewership on Saturday – a huge achievement for the channel.

On Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 was watched by 124,500 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 118,100 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 106,900 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 105,600 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Rising Star India’ at 21:05 impressed with 43,700 viewers, followed by ‘Naagin’ at 23:00 with 10,900 viewers and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ at 18:00 with 9,900 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 led with 32,400 viewers, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 21,600 viewers and ‘Madhubala’ at 19:30 with 11,100 viewers.

On &TV, ‘The Voice India’ at 20:00 brought in 20,600 viewers, followed by ‘Aadhe Adoore’ at 19:30 with 14,400 viewers and movie ‘Race 2’ at 16:00 with 8,300 viewers.

On Zing, TOIFA 2016 attracted 4,500 viewers – peaking at 24,200 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Pani Jesa Pyar’ at 21:00 raked in 40,300 viewers, followed by ‘Fun Khana’ at 19:00 with 26,100 viewers and ‘Natak’ at 20:00 with 22,700 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Khuda Aur Mohabbat’ at 20:00 topped ratings with 10,200 viewers, followed by Pakistan Super League coverage from 11:00 with 8,600 viewers and ‘Mera Kya Qusoor Tha’ at 21:00 with 6,900 viewers.

On Prime TV, Pakistan Super League at 11:00 averaged with 19,800 viewers – peaking at 58,100 viewers, followed by the highlights of the matches at 22:05 with 7,600 viewers.

On UK 44, Pakistan Super League at 16:00 attracted 9,800 viewers, followed by News Bulletin Pakistan at 21:00 with 8,400 viewers and ‘Nasim Zehra at 8’ at 20:00 was watched by 7,800 viewers.
