Overnights: Colors new Sky EPG ignites ratings war


Colors’ started a new war in UK ratings last night after moving to its new EPG slot on the Sky platform, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The channel’s ratings shot up with ‘Krishnadasi’ taking the lead with a huge 91,900 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Swaragini’ at 21:00 with 79,700 viewers and ‘Udaan’ at 19:30 with 36,200 viewers. ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 33,600 viewers. This was one of the channel’s most successful weeknight ratings in a long time. Not only that, the repeat telecast of ‘Udaan’ at 14:00 did extremely well with 80,400 viewers. It will be interesting to see how Colors’ ratings increase further to intensify the competition in this territory.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ did well with 203,100 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 185,200 viewers and ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 18:00 with 177,300 viewers. ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 was watched by 145,400 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 127,000 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ led with an impressive 111,500 viewers – making it the most watched show in the 20:00 slot last night. ‘Madhubala’ at 19:30 pulled in 74,300 viewers and ‘Phulwa’ at 19:00 with 62,300 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ was top show with 75,100 viewers, followed by ‘Santoshi Maa’ at 19:30 with 70,900 viewers and ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 20:30 with 16,400 viewers.

On Hum TV, the final episode of ‘Mana Ka Gharana’ at 20:00 bowed out with 48,000 viewers, followed by ‘Zindagi Tujhko Jiya’ at 19:00 with 27,600 viewers and ‘Kisse Chahoon’ at 22:00 with 16,100 viewers. Telefilm ‘Coffee Shop’ at 21:00 pulled in just 14,900 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Babul Ka Angna’ at 19:30 delivered 30,700 viewers, followed by ‘Noor Jehan’ at 21:00 with 30,100 viewers.
