Overnights: ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ scores 100k for Star Gold
The second broadcast of mammoth blockbuster, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, this time on Star Gold, proved a tremendous success again for Star TV UK.
According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, was watched by a record 107,300 viewers – peaking at 155,600 viewers – the biggest ever audience for the movies channel. The film was broadcast yesterday on Star Gold between 12:30 and 15:40. Last month, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was shown on Star Plus and fetched over 150,000 viewers – the biggest ever for a Bollywood premiere on UK television.
On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ continued lead with 160,600 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 114,600 viewers and ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ at 18:30 with 91,200 viewers. ‘Mera Naam Yousuf Hai’ at 22:00 did well with 75,800 viewers and ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ was down to just 41,200 viewers at 20:00. The new spin-off show of ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ at 21:30 did better with 53,000 viewers. ‘On Air with AIB’ at 23:00 started with 34,100 viewers.
On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ at 20:00 topped ratings with 46,700 viewers, followed by ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ at 17:45 with 40,100 viewers and movie ‘Brothers’ at 21:10 with 21,700 viewers.
On Rishtey, ‘The Anupum Kher Show’ at 20:30 was top with 8,600 viewers, followed by ‘Nail Polish’ at 19:30 with 3,600 viewers. ‘Code Red’ at 21:30 pulled in 3,100 viewers.
On Hum TV, ‘Dastaan’ reigned with 81,500 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Kaisay Tum Say Kahoon’ at 20:00 with 56,800 viewers and ‘Kitna Sataty Ho’ at 22:00 with 45,500 viewers.
On Geo TV, ‘Bashar Momin’ at 21:00 was watched by 11,000 viewers and ‘Ranjish Hi Sahi’ at 20:00 with 3,000 viewers.
On &TV, ‘Tujhse Naraaz Nahi Zindagi’ at 19:00 was top with 6,000 viewers, followed by ‘Deal Or No Deal’ at 20:00 with 5,400 viewers and ‘Darr Sabko Lagta Hai’ at 22:00 with 2,100 viewers.
On Life Ok, ‘Prem Ki Diwali’ at 20:00 registered 13,500 viewers, followed by ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 with 11,800 viewers and ‘On Air with AIB’ at 22:00 with 5,500 viewers.
