Overnights: Asian TV channels dwindle on Thursday in UK

Asian TV channels in the UK continue to cause concern for their bosses after numbers slipped again on Thursday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus stayed top but its share fell again to 0.18%. The channel’s top shows on Thursday were ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 117,200 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:00 with 87,400 viewers and ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 74,300 viewers. ‘Ikyawann’ at 20:30 pulled in 74,000 viewers.

Hum TV was placed at No.2 with a share of 0.10%. Its top performers on Thursday were the final episode of ‘Daldal’ at 20:00 with 53,000 viewers, followed by ‘Mein Maa Nahi Bana Chahti Hoon’ at 22:00 with 34,200 viewers and ‘Mere Meherbaan’ at 20:00 with 29,700 viewers.

Hum Masala and Rishtey were next with a share of 0.04%. Rishtey’s top show was ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 28,100 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television was next with a share of 0.03%. Its top shows were ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:30 with 25,300 viewers, followed by ‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya’ at 21:00 with 23,300 viewers and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 14:00 with 8,600 viewers.

Colors, ZEE TV, Geo TV and Star Bharat all fetched a share of 0.02%. ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 was top show on Colors with 19,100 viewers. ‘Aap Ke Aa Jane Se’ led ZEE TV with 9,800 viewers.
