The Sarabjit Singh biopic will see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan share the screen with Randeep Hooda. Now, it’s emerged that director Omung Kumar hopes to take the film to the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
He is quoted by Indian Express, “National Award was unexpected for me and I have always thought about Oscars so let�۪s see. We�۪re thinking to open it (the film) in Cannes on May 20”.
The director’s last film was ‘Mary Kom’ (2014) and this time all eyes are on him again as he puts the story of Singh,��an Indian convict who died in a Pakistani prison, on to celluloid.
