Ofcom opens radio application process for Ramadan 2021

UK media regulator, Ofcom has opened the application process for short-term restricted service licences (RSLs) for the period of 9th April and 14th May 2021 inclusive.

This is seen as an anticipated period of “high-demand” that also includes Ramadan.

Short-term radio licences are granted for analogue services broadcasting to defined locations, or for coverage of events such as music or religious festivals, or sporting events.

Applicants should ensure that they are familiar with the application criteria and must use the current version of the application form. The application will close on Friday 16th October 2020 at 17:00.
