No expense spared for SLB’s ‘Padmavati’

Deepika Padukone Piku 2

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ seems to be stealing the headlines owing to its stellar star cast.

The shoot of the film, which has Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the leads, is already underway. According to a report in DNA India, Bhansali is leaving stone unturned for this magnum opus.

The report adds that Bhanssali recreated the inside of the Chittorgarh fort for the royal Ghoomar song. Apparently, it took 40 days to erect the set for the song. Inside, each detail of the set has been carefully, which includes Rajasthani paintings and the use of 400 divas.

Away from the set, Padukone has taken nearly two months to learn the dance of this song.

A source told the publication, “Ghoomar will be the first song SLB shoots for the film, and everything from the visuals, to the sound, to the sets is being carefully planned and put together. It will be a complete royal experience and the final look will leave people spellbound.”
