Mukesh Chhabra reveals Sushant was happy with ‘Dil Bechara’ rough final cut

‘Dil Bechara’ will be releasing online on Hotstar on 24th July and director Mukesh Chhabra has revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput had seen the final rough cut of the film and was happy with it.

“He had seen the film during dubbing. He was very excited about it. He couldn’t see the final cut which is unfortunate. But he was happy and we were discussing how to market the film,” said Chhabra, in an interview with Pinkvilla.

Fans and well-wishers of the actor had trended on Twitter for the film to release on the big screen as a final tribute to the actor. However, Chhabra also confirmed that Singh Rajput was aware it would be getting an online release, “He was aware of the film being released online. He also felt that it’s the best time to release the film digitally because everyone will be able to watch it. Nobody knows when theatres will open, and Sushant also knew that. He was happy with the decision too”.

Also starring Sanjana Sanghi, the film is a Hindi remake of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’.
