Mubarak Begum passes away at 80

Veteran singer, Mubarak Begum passed away at her residence in suburban Jogeshwari at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness.

Deccan Chronicle reported a family member saying to PTI, “Mubarak Begum is no more with us. She passed away today at 9.30 pm at her residence in Jogeshwari. She was unwell since quite some time.”

The singer was known for her hit numbers during the 50s and 70s.

She breathed her last yesterday.
