Mouni Roy to shoot for ‘Gold’ in August?

Although there hasn’t been any confirmation that TV actress Mouni Roy had bagged a Bollywood debut in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Gold’, it seems the actress will start shooting for the film in August.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the film will have predominantly male characters as the hockey team but Roy will be one of the very few female characters. She is said to have most of her scenes with Kumar. A source told the publication, “”It is scripted by Rajesh Devraj and is a fictional take on the momentous game. Hockey will feature prominently in the plot but it is a strong human drama. Gold follows 12 crucial years in India’s history as well”.

‘Gold’ will also star Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor, and is directed by Reema Kagti.
