‘Monty Panesar In Lockdown With’ to air across UK Asian radio stations

Head On Media has announced a special six-part series ‘Monty Panesar In Lockdown With’, produced by Audio Content Fund, which will be broadcasting on various Asian radio stations in the UK from this week.

Featuring interviews from former England cricketer Monty Panesar with some of the most notable members of the Asian community, a total of six hour-long episodes will be broadcast across stations including Panjab Radio and Asian FX – London, Sunrise Radio Yorkshire, Sabras Radio- East Midlands and Radio XL- West Midlands.

Talking about the initiative, Panesar said, “As much as the lockdown was such an uncertain time for so many of us, I saw it as a great opportunity to have a chat with some people who have been great figureheads for the Asian community over the years. I loved getting to know more about their inspirational stories and what makes them tick, so I’m sure you will too!”

Guests for ‘Monty Panesar In Lockdown With…’ include former England cricketer Mark Ramprakash, businessman Lord Rami Ranger, musician Nitin Sawhney, actress Nina Wadia, chef Asma Khan and comedian Paul Chowdhry.

Each episode was recorded entirely in accordance with social distancing during lockdown in June. The result is a collection of fascinating insights into their lives, with the quirky touch of Monty Panesar’s interviewing.
