Mary Kom wants sequel to her biopic

Boxer MC Mary Kom, who recently won a gold medal at the Asian Games, wants the producers to make a sequel of her biopic ‘Mary Kom’ (2014) that starred Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. She further said that she wants the sequel to show her preparations for Olympics and victory.

Kom, whose biopic released some time back, believes that since then she has come a long way as she recently became the first Indian woman to have won a gold medal for boxing at the Asian Games. Also, Bollywood congratulated her on her gold win. A happy Kom said that the appreciation she and her biopic have received from the tinsel town is just overwhelming. She told DNA, “Unfortunately, I could not attend all the promotional activities. Priyanka and Bhansali invited me every time, but I was unable to attend them as I had to focus on my training for this competition. That’s also a reason that I could win. Otherwise, it would have been very hard for me.”

Well, let’s see whether the makers of the biopic go ahead with the sequel or not.
